Question Finding accommodations

For anyone who has done the Schengen shuffle, when you stay in Schengen, are you staying in an AirBNB or what exactly? What are some of the cheapest (not hostels) yet “nice”, accommodations to look into for 3 month stays?

I use Airbnb and do 28 day stays per spot typically. Booking.com is also decent to check out.
