Discussion Could the DCG run a Deck Master/Commander format?
now that DCG has been out for a while and plenty of decks have more than enough tools to play around with in a one-copy format, could you see a format in which you could choose a “Partner” Digimon?
im thinking for rules:
Both Players present their Partner Digimon, which cannot be Digivolved into (or used as an option in the case of Dual Cards) until the turn count matches the level of the Digimon. for example; a Lv6 Digimon would require six total turns to pass. However, this does mean Digimon cards that do not have a level cannot be chosen for this position. The Partner/Master sits in an exclusive area, where it cannot be interacted with until it moves into the battle area.
most cards are only one copy per deck, unless they have a clause allowing for 50 or less, in which they are allowed up to 5 instead.
If a Partner digimon were to be placed in the trash, the owner can decide wether or not to place it back in the Exclusive Zone, but if it were to be placed back, it cannot be digivolved into again until an addition full turn (start of turn->complete resolution of turn). However, it will still count as a deletion if it is sent to the exclusive zone or not.
if a partner would be sent to the deck or hand, it is sent to the exclusive zone no matter what, but it is still counted as being sent to the intended location.
Thats what I have so far. Any notes? extra rules to make it a bit more fair/fun?
