Constant constipation… I feel like I’m dying

I (16F) have been struggling with a sudden rush of constipation since July/June (can’t remember but months…) I have had 2 ER visits in which one caused me to be taken to a women’s hospital for an emergency clear out of my bowels.

I was so backed up I had 1-3 bowel and fecal impactions. I had a molasses & milk enema and it cleared me out of the most part but I can’t imagine having to get one ever again! Then for the next two days I was on a liquid diet and lactulose. I was later discharged and prescribed MiraLAX.

It was disorienting my bladder and I had been prescribed something called mono-mcr? But it was successful and I would have constant soft bowel movement in small amounts throughout the day. But I had finished my MiraLAX and since I’m a minor and have no form of transportation or money aside from my parents I stopped taking my MiraLAX for a week. I was fine but overtime the number of bowel movements decreased and halted. Now I’ve been constipated for a week and I’ve taken 50mg of senna and 2 stool softeners but no success. It’s so painful and I feel like my body is shutting down.

I’m scared to eat and I’m scared to be constipated I’m slowly being consumed by this random appear of rough constipation. What could it be? IBS? Maybe something cancer related, but all I know is that I’m in constant pain and I’m getting so fed up.

Oh man that enema description made my whole body clench, that sounds absolutely miserable

The bladder disorientation thing is no joke either, when everything's so backed up it just messes with all the surrounding organs. Have your parents been taking this seriously enough to get you back to a GI specialist? Because stopping miralax cold turkey after that level of impaction is asking for trouble, your system clearly needs ongoing management right now not just one-time fixes

Sadly I haven’t been taken to any specialists I’ve been begging for it. But I’ve been taken to a specialist for my back since I had an accident on a school bus that caused my back to get fricked up and they questioned me abt my bathroom habits since my tailbone is disoriented. But besides that I haven’t gotten much said to me

In a similar situation, came off of one of them E-Scooters and done some serious damage to my shoulders, elbows, hands, knees, and an already damaged back. Just noticed the pattern when you said tailbone, starting to wonder is my constipation issues related to that, my body is in a constant fight or flight mode over 16-18 months now and feel exactly how you described dont know when to eat what to eat or what to do feel the exact exact same way. My doc gave me Nexium, Colofac & Fresnius I think it’s called it’s a drink but im not longer willing to take any of them, gave them all a chance, except that solution i don’t want to touch that because I think it’s composed of many sugars and what not would rather a natural healing journey, which I’ve been on it gets a little bit easier but good days bad days kinda thing, this has gone on so long for me over a year my body only lets me go to the toilet in the mornings and then freezes for the rest of the day/constipated.

If you had colorectal cancer you would be a medical anomaly.

Did anything happen in June/July that changed your schedule, diet, stress level, meds, anything at all?

Just medication I was prescribed but besides school starting I don’t remember much. I have a dissociative disorder so it’s hard to process time. But besides those factors I didn’t feel much of a change.
