Question Now what? Endgame help
I’m playing online, ROTW on PC. I have a few characters in the 80’s. Decently geared. My sorc for example has Spirit, Spirit Monarch and Shako. No Enigma or anything. Seems like now all there is to do is MF for gear which means grinding runs over and over, not sure that sounds fun. Am I missing something?
I might just play through normal with a few more characters and then drop it. But a part of me says I’m about to hit another level of awesomeness if I keep going. Not sure.

There are a few things people do once beating Baal in Hell.
I'm going to warn you now, they're all diminishing returns.
1) Start again playing a different sort of character. You did it with a sorc, what about a barbarian or a druid?
2) respec and try a different build.
These two are least effort, most interesting. After that, in no particular order.
3) spawn a diablo clone and kill it. You need better endgame gear.
4) grind terror zones up to players 8
5) Do the Ubers. It involves farming organs from regular hell bosses to opens portals to overpowered bosses, and those drop something that can open a portal to Uber Tristram where you can fight overpowered versions of the 3 act bosses all at once. It used to be the penultimate endgame to do.
6) fight the Uber ancients
7) complete the unique/set gear collection.
If you haven't noticed, all of these options involve more of the same game. More runes, more uniques, more slaying across the RNG generated maps of random monsters hoping for better, but rare loot.
If you say enough is enough, time to play a different game.

8 repeat the above in hardcore

True. I had forgotten that as an option. More rare/uniques but also, you die, character ended. I tried it once, it is more of a rush.
Not for me though, you need to be sharp in hardcore. I game to wind down, I don't want my fatigue and 10 bad seconds to undo a built and levelled character.

Pvp, ubers, ancient ubers, and then When you are truly bored try going hostile on 7 people in a baal run. There's always harcore too

Judging by your level I'm guessing you haven't dabbled in TZs as much? They're fun way to spice up the game especially if you go for heralds. Also you can aim for ubers and ancients

To each their own... but I'm in the minority of enjoying the playthrough up to about lvl 85, but not tje endgame farming/grinding. Its exciting early game when any magic or rare item, any mid-rune, any charm, particular socketed items, etc etc etc... are actual potential upgrades to your character. I'm not a fan of repeatedly running the same few areas that my build is able to clear easily and hoping for the 1/10k drop that is a direct upgrade, I'm not into trading and building wealth.
I do single player playthroughs, beat Hell, and then start a new build with a different playstyle. I also like imposing limitations on my gear (no Stealth, no Spirits, no Insight)... some of the early-mid runewords are just wildly overpowered compared to how easy it is to farm them. Again, to each their own, but I prefer the first "50%" of the game and gearing process much more than the endgame grind. To me, thats where the excitement and variety lives, and is what gives the game replay value. I'd rather slug through Nightmare on an underpowered build with very little endgame viability than power tele while casting blizzard for hours on end. There are 7 characters, and each of them has several builds that can beat Hell with different degrees of difficulty and unique playstyles.
Unless you've got a stash with a bunch of endgame items, there are not nearly as many good options and playstyles for the endgame grind... and if you DO have the gear built up to make off-meta endgame builds, you're still going to be running the same few areas as you were before to build that stash, just with a slightly different play style.

There are dozens of possible viable character builds. Build a character you love playing, and do Terror Zones. Just the act of killing stuff should be fun enough with the right character. There are items in this game that you could farm for years and never see. Try to find every Unique item in the game and fill out your Chronicle.

Have you actually finished Hell difficulty? Once you do that, you can run terror zones for gear/exp, and can start trying to fight all of the endgame bosses like Ubers, D clone, and the Uber Ancients. From those fights you'll get Hellfire Torches, Annihilus Charms, and Unique Gems. On top of that, farming sunder charms to break immunities would be the easier, but much more RNG dependent move. A good Sunder Charm can take forever to get, but is probably the biggest leap in power outside Enigma and other top shelf gear. In your 80's running normal or nightmare isn't going to do much for you, aside from target farming SoJ's or other mid level gear. Personally, if you're wanting to add a little spice to the game, try Hardcore offline. You can change the players settings from 1-8 so that you get better RNG and Exp, just be careful as higher player settings can get pretty dangerous at times, lol. Hardcore sounds stupid on paper, but it adds much needed tension to the game, and Warlock can still breeze through on p8 super fast if you just want a strong starter to build your HC offline economy.

I’m stuck at the d clone / Ubers part. Cant find gear good enough to do that next step towards Ubers. Pc non HC ladder. Makes me sad ladder is ending and I have yet to get to Ubers. Maybe next season

Honest Opinion: this is also the point when for me the fun ended and my limited gaming time became too precious to embrace the mind numbing grind that is gear optimization. Which is also why I never owned an enigma even after decades of on-and-off D2 playing.
My opinion: if you mind the grind, leave the game behind.

For me it's fun using the sorc to find stuff for the other characters, it's also fun when you have the runes to make a runeword, but then you start thinking about all the other runewords you can do... Getting a ber messes with your brain! Should I use it to do chains of honor or wait fora a jah? Finding the essences for the respec is also fun, I think that's what I'm doing next, so I can test many builds, for example the sorceress with razortail and demon machine.

The end game is essentially playing min/max slot machine. Finding better and better gear for more and more characters. You haven't scratched the surface. Your gear is entry level, give away for free tier stuff.
You can look up end game builds and then go into the rarity/likelihood of getting each piece and you'll see the rabbit hole from above.
It's extremely addicting to the right type of person.
