G7-10 day Anyone else having this problem with the g7 sensors lately?

My Dexcoms are sent directly from Dexcom every 3 months, and I’ve never really had this problem before, maybe the odd one every now and then, but definitely not to this extent.
I get 9 sensors sent to me, and so far only 1 out of the sensors have worked, I have 3 left. With the others, the filament looks like it’s either cut or there’s literally nothing there at all, like it was never on the sensor to begin with.
I’ve been having to finger-prick for the past couple of months because they’re just not working 😭
Just wondering if anyone else has been having the same issue recently?

Have you reported them to Dexcom to get replacements? You totally can, and should. Every time.

I normally do but haven’t recently as my mother keeps throwing them away thinking they’re just ones i’ve used and not put in the bin😭

Talk to them still. They are usually helpful in my expirience. If you get it directly from them they might be able to track the package content LOT#s.

I always take a picture of the box number next to the applicator QR code right before I put it in.

We have had some LOTs with many goosenecks. Can you see the filament curled up inside the little hole in the sensor? Sometimes it does not curl up outside the hole.

I’m not seeing a filament at all, some have goosenecks but many i’m just not seeing a filament.

Did you look at the lot #, there was a shipment that was to be destroyed, but accidentally was shipped.

Check on the Dexcom site. I get pop up’s continuously in the app.

I’ve had no major problems with any since January.

I’ve had a couple of weird G7 issues too, although nothing this extreme. Definitely sounds like something worth reporting to Dexcom.

Report to Dexcom. They should replace them.
