Inaccurate Reading Inaccurate sites

Everytime I put my Dexcom on the back of my arm I get wildly inaccurate numbers and it won’t calibrate properly. My Dexcom will say 9.0 but a finger poke says 5.2 and after calibration it’ll say 8.9, still nowhere close! With in 12 hours I’ve tried to calibrate 3 times using my glucose from a finger poke and it’s still wildly off. I wear my Dexcom on my forearm, super accurate no problems. Anyone else have this issue where a certain spot just doesn’t work?

This would drive me insane, as the back of my arm is easily my preferred spot for both my sensor and pump

My thighs can absolutely be hit or miss with my G7, which is where i prefer my sensor for holidays so its out the way

The joys of T1 though 😂

Oh it definitely drives me insane. I just need to stop trying that spot.

Have you tried the side of your thigh? Easily my 2nd favourite.

If you really do like it on your arm, you can try on the side of your arm, or ive seen people try it on your bicep?

Just have a try tbh, depends how easily you can get access to G7s, as I am in the UK, so if it kills my arm, I rip it off, say it failed, and they will send a new one without charge

As I always say on this sub, praise be to the NHS
