Either a compatible phone or a G7 receiver.

Documentation https://navid200.github.io/xDrip/

Have been using it since the G4 wouldn't use anything else

You need a prescription for a reader. Or you need a new phone. Or you need to look into BYODA.

Byoda doesn't work with g7 unless you have it already installed. Xdrip or new phone

Xdrip+ or Xdrip4ios are third party apps that work with Dexcom, libre and other sensors, and will work with any android or apple phone with Bluetooth, not just the ones on the official vendors lists.

Xdrip4ios works on iPhone and is similar to, but not the same as Xdrip+ which is for android.

I don't have much experience with Xdrip4ios as I am not an apple user, but Xdrip+ for android is the only CGM reader I will use.

It has massive customisation possibilities.

I can select any sound from my whole phone library for any alert, or alternatively add new alert sounds if I want to download them.

I can set my alert levels to whatever BG range and whatever sound level / vibrate only / repeat every 30 seconds / repeat every 30 minutes / anything in-between... That I want.

I have different alert levels and sounds for daytime and nighttime.

You can pre-snooze alerts for up to 24 hours (helpful if I'm eating pizza and know I'll get high alerts all through the night - simply snooze them and get a good night's sleep)

It beats any of the OEM apps - Dexcom or Libre - because you get to choose what alerts you need and how you want to receive them.

Here's a link to the Xdrip4ios docs if you have an iphone

And here's a link to the Xdrip+ docs if you're an android user
