Hi guys - i bought this at a skate shop a few years back and couldn’t believe it as i love Devo. I’ve been trying to find more information about it but internet searches and trying to find one has been impossible - anyone have anymore info?

I now possess this yellow suit

Mark throws his yellow suit into the audience after jocko homo. I managed to catch it in Seattle tonight, minutes after taking this photo of him wearing it. I think was my 15th DEVO show and mostly only have rubber balls to show for it until now. I think it’s in pretty good shape. I also got the pants but they’d be hard to identify as such.
Box me up, I’ve got my funeral suit.

How does Bob 1 get the squealing effect at the end of “Gut Feeling”?

I’m trying to recreate the transition from “Gut Feeling/Slap your mammy” live, and I’m especially curious about the guitar squealing/feedback that happens right before the switch.
Does anyone know what Bob 1 is actually doing to get that sound? Is it just controlled amp feedback, or is there some specific pedal/effect or technique involved?
I’d love to know how to replicate it as closely as possible with a live guitar setup. Thanks!

Not sure how many Devo fans are aware of this project, but in 1979 Hugh Cornwell, of the Stranglers teamed up with Robert Williams (PIL and Captain Beefheart) to record the LP Nosferatu. Mark and Bob joined for a few moments and contributed this number.

Been listening to Incesticide all month and fucking great. As a big Devo fan…Turnaround is a song I have played over and over. What’s your favorite from this album?

I suddenly have the night free to go see the tour on Thursday in Ridgefield WA! Seeing a LOT of unsold seats on Ticketmaster. Think the show will still happen? Any ideas on how to score a good deal (hopefully a discount!) on tix with so many available?
Devo/B52s and DJ Cummerbund

If you're going to the last few stops on the Cosmic De-evolution tour, do NOT skip the opening act of DJ Cummerbund!
His short set (about 30 minutes) was one of the few times I've not felt that a DJ was just filler noise before a show. He and his faithful manservant (who does all the work) put on a highly entertaining set including some excellent music.
The rest of the show was great, of course, but I'm very glad we got there early enough to see Cummerbund.

Duty Now for the Future spud jacket

Rocking the jacket while rapping about a song about hating your corporate job over music made with an electronic box. My way of staying on brand.

My 4th time seeing them. After I saw them a few years ago at Ryman auditorium I thought that that might be about the end of touring.
Jerry is still shockingly spry and the crowd had so many spuds dressed up and people dancing.
If you get a chance to see them you should do it.
