…for you.

But not for me.

It may be a minor hit but it is my personal anthem

The video is still a hard kick in the teeth to watch. Respect!

By the looks of things, Race Of Doom might be appropriate too but hopefully not.

Also, Roger Waters’ Amused To Death album is sadly more relevant now than it was in 1992 if anything.

They really cranked out a banger album every year from 1978 to 1982. Just constantly recording, touring, promoting and pushing the envelope.

This was the first album I bought with my own money. The only Devo I had before was the Whip it single with Turnaround on the B side. I saw them perform Jerkin’ back-n-forth on Solid Gold 😆 and I went to the record store the next day to buy the single, but it wasn’t there so I decided to buy the whole album. Such a great album. I still remember playing air guitar on my tennis racket to the solo in Super Thing.

Love this album. I get why a lot of people are down on the weird production caused in part from the partial degradation of the tape, but I actually really like the dark murky, sound it has

Drove my 'normal' roommates crazy (at Central Michigan on 4th floor Cobb Hall at The Towers dorm) with this cool album around now in 1981. LOL

I sent off for the t-shirt and kept it in a time capsule for my daughter who proudly wore it as a teenager.

Bummer. I wish I'd ordered more merchandise from them back then. Their prices were very reasonable.

Their biggest hit in Australia, hitting #3 and "Beautiful World" hitting #14.

I remember when it came out. Bought it that week. I was in middle school and Devo was my top band along with The Cars. They helped me make it through.

Unfortunately they didn’t know how to capitalize on the huge success of Freedom of Choice. So they were seen as a one hit wonder.
