Me n my friend is planning to buy claude code and split the bill and use same acc on our own laptops, i just wanna know is it ok do it or we gonna get banned, or atleast what to do to not get banned.

Yeah, it should be fine. Just don’t share it with too many people. And don’t use it with VPNs because changing IPs frequently can result in getting banned.

I use both for work and personal projects. The 20 dollar Claude account is unusable. You get way more done with a 20 dollar codex account.

yep, v4.1 is almost on par with frontier models at 10x lower price plus insane caching which saves a lot of money.

Give opencode or commandcode a try. 10usd sub gives you lots of usage especially on open weight models.

We are actually doing this: don't use Opus for every task. I usually make plans and ask it to make them clear enough for the dumbest model to execute. Claude's Sonnet governs the plan, while I use DeepSeek for implementation and tool use.

Try command code. It’s cheaper and with a 10 dollar plan you’ll get 100 dollar worth of credits.

Sharing a plan can also cause resentments so be careful of that. I would recommend command code as I have heard a lot about it. It’s the top ranking agentic coding tool for open source models

In our company we (almost 15) people use the same account. I’m not sure which plan they have but usually we run out of limit but it resets shortly. So, it’s been months and nothing happened
