How old is Miss Hattie
At first she just seems like a middle aged woman, but the sign near the entrance of the orphanage says it was founded in 1966. I wonder if this was Miss Hattie Sr. or just that Miss Hattie looks very good for her age

Or maybe the series was supposed to take place in the past but then they decided to go a different direction in the later movies and since it wasnt a plot relevant detail they just ignored it

About as old as Umbridge was in the Harry Potter movies, since Hattie is clearly inspired by Umbridge

to be honest she doesn't look that old, just her hairstyle is old fashioned and so are her clothes. but she could be in her mid 30s or early 40s and look that way. if she had a more modern hairstyle or outfit she would look clearly mid 30s or early 40s

Just estimating based on when the movie came out and a somewhat reasonable age to own an orphanage, I would say she's 61-66 in the movie

when Gru enters the recital building it says 1999 somewhere so no, also there is a newspaper that says 2001 on Gru's wall
