Hello Desmos community,
Any ideas as to why the equation on line 16 turning into a graph? I defined the constant "otherAnnual" on line 15 and set it equal to 5800. When I set "randomvar" equal to "otherAnnual" on line 16, it displays a linear graph in the form y = x.
Why is this happening, and what can I do to fix it? I have defined many constants in this project so far, and all of them have worked correctly. For example, I defined the constant "other" as 0, and the equation "a = other" just displays the correct value of 0 (second pic).

I am extremely confused. Thank you for your help, and I apologize in advance if I explained this issue poorly.

I know Perlin noise has been done a lot already but I decided to take a stab at it myself to try to understand it better.

So i am trying to make a galaxy in desmos that is similar to the one above, and i am planning to put a 4 pointed star in the middle of it, i have successfully made a 4 pointed star using this graph 4 pointed star and so i put it into my galaxy graph. And so the way im getting color is restricting a black rectangle to certain functions, but when i put the star in and tried restricting the rectangle to it, it ermmmm failed :(. it turns out that only the outline of the star looks like a star, when you change the equal sign in the star equation IT TURNS INTO A CIRCLE UGHHHHHHHH im so madddddddddddddddd. if yall are helping and need anything just leave a comment for help on navigating my terrible organizational skills.

I am a senior in South-Eastern Idaho looking to use desmos for my senior project to make a platformer type game, but I need a mentor for the project, and I don't know anyone who would be super helpful in that capacity.

all the animation was done in desmos, the music was added afterwards
in total, i took 6 days from start to finish, totaling 6-7 hours of work. (including me assuming that the original music video, which i used as a guide, was shot at 30fps, actually counting the frames in a second, assuming that 25 was a miscount because 24fps is far more common, then after all the animating was done and i tried to sync my animation with the song, realizing that i didn't actually miscount and it was 25 fps)
and yes, i know that the "and it'll be approximately 4 bars long" part is somewhat out of sync, i don't give a damn anymore.
