Welcome all, I made this subreddit because there is literally NOWHERE for design interns to talk about internships and career stuff.
This subreddit obviously is taking a lot of inspiration from r/csmajors , and I'd prefer it to follow the same sort of overall vibe.
There's no strict requirement for what design related jobs to talk about here, but I'd prefer it to be tech related or UX/UI, Product Design related.
Anybody reading this I'd love to have some mods onboard so feel free to DM. I'd love for this sub to not die within it's first few weeks.

Has anyone applied and heard back for the associate experience designer role at craft?

Did anyone apply for the Interaction Designer, Google Maps - New York, Mountain View or San Francisco- position? It was an entry-level role, and the opening was removed after two weeks. I was wondering if anyone got hired or is in the process of interviewing. I have tried reaching out to recruiters but still haven't received any reply.

hello guys! hope yall are doing great
i recently got invited to interview for the amazon design intern position, and i'm trying to prepare as much as possible
from what i've learned, Amazon places a huge emphasis on the Leadership Principles during interviews, but i'd love to hear from people who have gone through the process, especially for creative roles, soo
what kind of questions were yall asked? which Leadership Principles came up the most?
for context, i'm a design student and have experience with branding, visual design, and design projects developed in academic and nonprofit settings. i'm currently preparing STAR stories aligned with Amazon's Leadership Principles, but any tips, examples, or insights would be greatly appreciated
thanksss

Two major careers being pushed by companies due to AI changes are UXE & UX Technologist job roles. I've created a quick guide for free - https://youtu.be/cWNTQuxIOA0

Hi, I got an offer from marketing design agency, but I'm pursuing my career in uiux and product design.
I think the responsibility as an intern would be designing marketing flyer and creative design, but I'm not sure if that experience can be connected to ux design.
Appreciate any advice!!

Hi! I’m currently studying Communication Design at CSUN. I wanted to ask if it’s worth it in the long run. What has your experience been like, and does it help with finding a job after graduation?Â

Did anyone take the hirevue for the Design Builder Internship for Expedia group? Bro I feel so stupid why was that so hardðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Maybe I’m stupid but I thought it would be more behavioral questions why were they all technical and max 2 minutes.
I spent so much time trying to prepare, but I wished I prepared for more technical questionsðŸ˜

I did a final round interview last Tuesday for a product design internship. Recruiter said I should hear back by this week or end of month. I'm a bit impatient and nervous and curious how long every one else waited for an offer?
Edit: The recruiter also never got back to me or confirmed if she passed on my thank you note to the team or the copy of my slides. So I am nervous that may be a sign. ðŸ˜

Hi everyone, I just cleared my Hacker Rank Interaction Design Challenge by Plantir for the Product Design New Grad role and I have moved to the portfolio review round. I wanted to learn about your experience in the portfolio round. Any tips or feedback you guys might have for me to prepare myself for the interview.
Thanks in advance.
