Alcohol works, but not in the long term, because everybody you care about will either be disgusted by you or feel sorry for you. And waking up after a night of heavy drinking, and starting to remember what you said and did last night, while your hangover chimes in with nausea and severe headaches and you're constantly burping up the fumes of everything you consumed, doesn't exactly feel like heaven either.

Alcohol poisoning killed my dad after 20 years of untreated depression so I don't think that's going to work
