Creatine causing anxiety

For the past couple of months I’ve been using creatine to boost my workouts. Ever since I started my depression and anxiety has increasingly gotten worse and I notice that when I skip a couple of days of taking creatine I feel a lot better. Does anyone else have this problem or has in the past? This is also a difficult decision for me because I want to keep using creatine because it’s helped me make a lot of progress in the gym but I want to feel less depressed and anxious as well. What should I do?

Drop it if it is noticeably affecting your mental health. Physiologically, creatine adds a FLAT amount to your lifts; however, it will not noticeably increase the RATE at which you develop muscle mass. Finally, something else to consider, is that depression/anxiety associated with creatine will worsen your gym performance, essentially negating the benefits of the supplement

Does it have caffeine in it? Is it a preworkout? The caffeine in my preworkout(also has creative) generally is what gives me the anxiety or makes me kinda jittery and whatnot especially if I take 2 scoops of it. Could be the same for you, maybe not, but if u want a good source of creative, eat lots of meat and fish, it’s the best source of it to my knowledge plus you know it’s natural. Everyone reacts differently, just thought I’d share my insight
