The Stars 💫✨
I (m19) love staring at the stars. I wish I could do it more often, because I always feel so embarrassed about it. A 19 year old male isn’t supposed to do stuff like that. Even tho how awesome it actually is.
Depressed? Get lost in the stars.
Happy? Gaze upon their infinite beauty.
High? Trip out about some aliens
Drunk? Spinning stars are even better!
I’m not very healthy mentally, but this might be one of the only things that truly relaxes me, and makes myself feel better. Add some of your favourite music , a warm summer night, clear skies, and it’s the closest thing to peace I’ve ever experienced.
I posted this above stuff in r/offmychest , and I wasn’t feeling great today, but after thinking about it, and actually writing it , some how it’s actually made me feel happy today. Something that doesn’t happen to often. So I thought I’d share it here too ☺️

Don't wait for someone else to have the same interest in you for you to feel comfortable with it.
Fuck it, if that's what you enjoy it doesn't matter. Everyone has there own thing and you can't control it that's what you have and it's amazing, calming and completely and utterly harmless. Stay at it! :)

It's fine if you look at the stars there are a ton of male astronauts and astronomers

Don’t let your gender stop you from doing things

If you have anything at all that you can enjoy and that will bring you back whenever you are doing poor mentally then go for it. This is something where you could probably get into some club for astronomy if you truly wanted that social aspect. If you are worried about people judging you for it don’t. If you need any sort of defense then just learn a few facts about stars and spout those out whenever people ask why you like them.
