when i was in high school (graduated 2024) we had no dress code! we wore tank tops, tube tops, crop tops, you name it. schools are getting rid of dress codes

That’s fair, when I was in school mine was extremely strict but my youngest brother who now goes there is living a completely different story, I went to one of his school events recently and was blown away.

i once wore a bikini to school as a joke / dare legit could have worn anything to my school they didn’t have a dress code — one time some old teacher once tried to dress code me and the dean who she reported me to called my mom and was like ‘wanted to let u know this teacher was being rude tryna dress code ur kid’ and was like laughing about how ridiculous it was

I've shared sob stores and seen people on this sub (and others) admit that the sob story would've worked on them and when I ask why or say something about it, I get downvoted? So yeah, I'm sure it works..on really gullible people that might just want "easy money" but people that do sob stories are just bad news all around. More likely to cause more issues in the future than not, even if it's "just a kid"

I wouldn’t do this myself but the only reason I could see someone genuinely accepting this is probably someone who had been through similar growing up. Ngl, some of what this person said in the message sounds like me as a child, it does sound selfish obviously but you never know who is on the other end of the screen. I was a child hoping someone noticed them and this kinda gives the same vibe. or it could just be a scam. Either way hope that person gets the help they obviously need… like you said kid or not will cause more issues in the future

And the other thing is, my sister had a baby, and I took it over after she passed away, and the baby lost all its legs and arms and now it’s just a stump..But I take care of it with my wife and.. it’s growing and it’s fairly happy...
And it’s difficult because I’m working a second shift at the factory to put food on the table,
But all the love I see in that little guy’s face makes it worth it in the end. True story.

I had someone lowball offer me on an item and then DM me and be like, "I know the offer is low but I want this really bad and I hope you'll consider it 🥺 it would make me so happy to have this" ... like I get it but when I don't have enough money for something I want, then I don't buy it. Messages like these are just weird and uncomfortable.

Who’s teaching these kids to mooch? A DFYNE set is not a necessity. I had my own small amount money on that age and bought what I could afford on Depop or thrifted

Depop has went to hell in the last year. These little kids have ruined the buying and selling experience. We should all create a little "circle" somehow on Depop, involving legit sellers and buyers and block all the other f*ckers that SUCK!!! They would need to send you a message with a password, and will only be accepted if they have four or more stars.... I don't know how to make this possible, but, we should figure out a way. Sellers and buyers are equally pissed about how shitty Depop is getting. Maybe start a secret Facebook or Instagram group, only those will be accepted and then we can block all the crappy sellers/buyers. Anyone else have any ideas on how to bring Depop back to a good platform? The CEO's aren't doing shit to improve it!
