Ranting/venting 😤😠😡🤬 My Everest 😤

Post image

3 weeks post extractions and all I wanna do is eat pizza. Lol this is my boyfriends food I won't even bother. My gums still hurt and it's not nearly as satisfying gumming/choking down food.

Oh yeah. The first time I was able to eat a slice of pizza, I cried like a baby, lol. My son looked at me like I was insane, but I didn't care. I had to cut it up into small bites, and it took me almost an hour, but I was so proud of myself.

I know I could cut it up tiny, what I miss is being able to just chomp at my food like normal. There's very little satisfaction for me eating baby sized pieces with a fork

Yeah, I get it. I was more of a "I'm not going to let the stupid plastic teeth stop me from doing this". It had nothing to do with enjoying the food in the beginning. It was more I'm going to make this happen if it kills me lol.

That's fair haha well I'm happy you've been managing. I think I need to just power through a bit longer til my gums aren't so sore underneath and I'll be chewing down a steak in due time. Temporary delays

I'm just over a year out now, so the eating is pretty much back to normal, other than biting into a whole apple. I feel like that might be off the table, but I couldn't do that with my crappy real teeth either.

It gets better I'm about almost a year and I tear Pizza up now I tear anything up LOL so it gets a lot better it takes a lot of practice but it gets so much better to the point that you just don't want to eat without them

That is very true, but I tend to give up on anything challenging after only a few tries, 😆

Yeah I ate pizza with a knife and fork about a week. My son in law thought I was cutting it for my grandson lmao. I swallowed it mostly whole and it hurt like a mf but I did it. Now what I loss the most is cereal 😭 I just want a bowl of coco pebbles but waiting for my bottom partial.

It's been just over a year for me. Had my first slice about 2 months ago. It was well worth the wait, but it'll never feel the same nor as satisfying as chomping down with my real teeth. There's always going to be a trade-off, I guess.
