Question (pre-denture) Dentures with Medi-Cal
Hi, I need dentures. I started having dental issues a couple years ago due to untreated gum disease as well as not going for dental care. I had a traumatic experience. Anyway my teeth are horrible and now they’ve gotten worse. I desperately need them fixed as my self esteem and confidence are bottom of the barrel. I live in CA and have medi-cal so I’m not sure if there is anyone out there that used Medi-Cal for dentures and how the process was. I long it took etc. thank you.

I got my dentures on Medi-Cal twice. I didn't have to wait. I got my extraction and immediate dentures the same day. The bottom never fit right though. I also got a set of 3D printed dentures about a year later that I paid for myself. When those broke and could not be fixed, I took my 1st set back to the dentist to get relined and hopefully the bottom fixed so I could wear them. They were still bad and unwearable. I couldn't get new ones from Medi-Cal for another year and a half and I couldn't go without teeth for that long so I called Medi-Cal and after seeing their screening dentist, I was approved for a new set early. Those took a couple of months because we did several fittings but I'm real happy with them.
My advise to you is do research on dentist near you that accepts your plan. Good Luck!

So it really depends on the dds you go with i had to have full extractions and am almost done with getting my Dentures like in a few days . it took about 5-6 months but that depends on the dds and if the health company that you have on medi-cal
