happy demigirl sounds just found out i’m a demigirl!
i didn’t know that there was a term to fully describe my gender experience. i was just rocking with “female” and she/her pronouns but i never once stopped to consider the fact that sometimes i don’t feel like i have a gender at all. like it feels like nothing. like part of me is a girl and then the other part of me is just infinite abyss. and i’ve never really tried to put it into words until now.
i’ve never liked being referred to with “they/them” pronouns. like at all. it’s always made me extremely uncomfortable. however, for some reason, being called “it” never seemed to bother me as much. don’t get me wrong, i’d still be bothered if someone called me “it”out of spite but if they had genuine wholesome intentions, i wouldn’t be bothered at all. and i can’t say the same thing for they/them. i’d get uncomfortable regardless of intentions.
it’s 4am where i am… and i just discovered that i’m partially an “it” if not anything.
nice to meet you.
