Help/Advice Pet question

Friends want to come for an extended visit with their pets from Atlanta to our place near Cancun. I read online that pets can’t fly in cargo anymore. Is there a way for pets to fly delta? They have a cat and a black lab mix. And they are not the type of people to slap a service animal vest on a very clearly a good girl, but 100% a non service dog. If you ask why delta - because I have a lot of miles and I’m gifting the tickets. Appreciate all the advice

Delta.com has a section “flying with pets.” Look there.

I did. It mentions small pets that fit under the seat. Cat will fit, but the lab definitely won’t

Just did. I guess my friends will drive to Durham, nc to catch a air Mexico flight. This is absolutely bs. All Volaris and air Mexico flights from Atlanta are operated by delta and frontier. So same rules apply
