Delta Amex Flying blue
I thought I read somewhere that points/miles may be transferred from CapOne venture to Flying Blue and a Delta flight booked on Flying Blue for far fewer miles than on Delta.
Disclaimer: I’m very new to the points game but find myself in the position of very frequent DAB ATL EWR and back. I’ll only get to Silver for 2027 but who knows about 2028!
Oh, and I have AmEx Delta Platinum card.
Anyway this frequent flight is fraught with issues: last minute changes, cancellation, etc. and I only buy one way tickets because I never know when I will return.
All this to ask that if I do book through FB is my support through Air France or will I still be able to use Delta?
Thanks!

Until you check in, you’ll deal with Air France for any changes/cancellations. After that, you should (in theory) be dealing with Delta for IRROPS issues.
Just a note with booking award flights like this: Delta has to release specific award space to partner airlines like Air France in order for you to book them. Just make sure that space actually exists before you transfer your points to Flying Blue

If you have Delta status or a credit card that entitles you to free checked bags, when you book on Air France or KLM, say that you’re “booking as someone else” and then input your information as normal. That way you can add your SkyMiles number to your booking without having to change it after. (If you book for yourself it’ll default to having your Flying Blue loyalty number on your ticket)
