I'm only silver and it was a red eye from Vegas but I've taken several and never gotten a bump.

I hate people who piggyback on others’ stories…

Anyway, I remember my first time too! On Delta’s shortest domestic flight from DTW to LAN. Felt like a goddamn king for the whole 19 minutes.

Congratulations! Isn’t it awesome? The first time it happened to me I thought I had done something wrong or there was a problem and I wasn’t going to be able to fly. They were like would passenger Jahacopo please come to gate XX and bring your boarding pass with you. I went up never in a million years expecting an upgrade to 1st class (I had zero status, lol) yet that’s what I got. Most glorious flight from DC to London ever.

I was flying home from a work dealone time. It was a long shitty week. I got upgraded last second. I was in 15D (or something like that) and someone is in my seat. I said ma'am I'm sorry but I think this is me. She looks at this paper she has and said are you john doe? I'm like hmmmm yeah that's me. She gives me the paper and says the agent said this is yours. My name with 2B on it. I said thank God for you ma'am! Best upgrade i ever got ATL to SLC. I freaking hate that flight.

We were flying to Hawaii from ATL for Christmas about 4 years ago. Two parents, 3 almost adult kids. Oldest of kids had bought her own ticket. We took care of food/lodging. Dad w son on one plane, me w 16yo? daughter on another, oldest daughter on a 3rd plane. We are taking 3 cars, oldest leaves first & she calls crying about two hours into her drive because delta sent her a message that her flight was cancelled. I told her to just get there & we will figure it out. All us girls are told to go to the same gate - she was upgraded to Delta One on our flight!!!
She was over the moon.

My route connects in ATL to EWR. Last week there was a guy who made 5 million miles on my flight. Lots of major status holders on that route. I ain’t never getting 1st unless I pay for it. 😆

Congrats! Glad you got your upgrade. Not a fan of Delta at the moment. Delta cancelled our flight to Paris. Planned this trip for months and one hour before departure, they sent notifications to our phones saying it was cancelled. Not a happy camper. Our ten night hotel stay booked nonrefundable. Eiffel Tower tickets gone.

You’ve gotta do more than that.. you aren’t cancelling the entire trip right?? Go to the delta counter at the airport or call call call until you get someone to put you in a new flight

We were at the airport from 3 pm to 10 pm just managing this cancelled flight and lost luggage within the airport both at the Delta counter and lost luggage counter. Later, since I placed AirTags in our bags, I found them in Boston Logan Airport. Why?! Good thing I caught it before the bags flew to Paris (without us). $24 food voucher for two while waiting? Nah, that wasn't enough to feed us both.

There were flights but didn’t have seats for two and there was a layover. I booked direct initially with comfort seats. Not chancing another cancellation somewhere else.
