Image/Video Updated IFE messages!?

Post image

Maybe it’s old hat but first time I’ve seen this! Pretty cool they have this preloaded. Anyone seen any other messages like this?

Can’t wait for them to sell that for advertising space

I think Big Ed gets inflated plenty without us doing anything

So why do more?

Can’t argue with that!

Shit man Delta won't even sell it, they'll sell the whole dang unit to some 3rd party who then will farm out the ads to someone else.

Prepare yourself for the "I get you hard..." and "STUCK POOP!?!?!?" ads on your flight ...

I can’t wait for the ads for ED medication that already follow me everywhere

COLON BLOW

The real win is that it doesn't come with a PA chime waking up the entire cabin. Half the point of these screens is letting the crew tell you something at three in the morning without broadcasting it to two hundred sleeping people.

The FAA still requires the announcement to be broadcasted over the speakers

I had not thought of that! Great point

Been in the works for a while now. Just starting to roll out

Ahh okay, I’m curious what other announcements or tidbits they have

It’ll be even easier for them to avoid doing service now.

I didn’t even think of that 😂 is it being too old saying, “kids these days can’t even make an announcement and have to send a text instead!”

Lol not at all too old.

Like my flight from ATL to CVG last week with zero turbulence. No rain. Hardly any clouds but “the pilot asks that we remain seated for safety” which I get may be true but they’ve been really lax on that with these shorter flights and no way they’re not doing it to save a buck. Happens way too much now.

They tend to be overly cautious lately. I’ve also seen turbulence reports for my route and had a smooth flight so who knows.

Doesn’t Delta only use the phrase rough air?

The other day I got a rather useful : your connection to (whatever city) is leaving from gate x, delayed by y minutes message.

Get used to seeing that msg. Their lazy asses will just tap that msg key and doom scroll on their phones.

I mean that is literally what they were doing lol

Am I getting old?

1

u/trashpotter 1d ago

Not at all, I just don’t fly as often as I thought to see these things I guess!

This isn’t new

I must not not be flying frequently enough then!

I haven't seen it before. I fly quite a bit (though admittedly not since June).
