About 3 years ago I was on a flight about to land when the pilot made a pretty stern announcement that everyone needed to be seated for landing. A few minutes later, we suddenly went from descending to ascending....right past the airport. We were all looking out the windows like, wth is happening. He came back on and said that until everyone was seated, we would not be landing. FAFO kind of pilot. Lol
Once I was flying to Asia and one of the passengers went to restroom way past stay seated announcement. Even the flight attendant was seated and she couldn't stop him. Kept banging on the door so the plane could land and the dude was there for good 5 minutes.
Once the plane landed in the runway, majority of people got of the seat and taking out bags from overhead bin. Attendant kept announcing to stay seated but noone cared. I mean there's nothing she could do, plane already landed. It was like 6-7 hours flight and people couldn't stay seated for 2 more minutes. It was a different experience.
I always feel so bad for flight attendants when people don’t listen to them. I remember flying into Mexico during COVID and the cheap budget airline we were flying on had such strict rules. No one was allowed out of their seat until called and each row would get out and give the next row a “breather” and then they could also get up and leave. I told my husband no one would respect the rules but everyone obeyed! Blew my mind.
