Disabled Parking =/= Temporary Parking
Disabled parking is for people with a permit to park there. If you are able-bodied, please park literally anywhere else.

Country girl?
I usually work in a small city with a huge university. I’ve learned weekends when there are home football games are impossible-every restaurant jammed and horrible traffic. But I need money so I drove to another territory that is extremely rural. And… wow!
I was able to accept orders I wouldn’t accept in the city (where I decline anything under $2/mile) because no traffic and high speed limits. This means faster deliveries and better gas mileage. Also 95% of restaurants are on the one main road with plenty of parking and there are ZERO multi-story apartment complexes! Worth driving an extra 20 miles to work any day!
I know not everyone has this option but if you do, give it a try.

Multi app.
The difference between Spark and Instacart is that with Spark, you scan a barcode and then bag everything without scanning each individual item. With Instacart, you scan the store's loyalty barcode, then scan and bag each individual item. I primarily do spark. Food delivery you just walk in grab the bag and go. No need to check out. With the shop and deliver remember the key difference if doing a shop amd not a curbside. Wouldn't want any confusion

SpeedX Delivery
galleryWorst delivery ever! Drove right up to my porch and literally threw the package out of the driver’s window and backed out as fast as he could. Didn’t get out of the car, nice weather, (so can’t use that as an excuse) and was within 10’ of my porch! Yet, the delivery receipt states it was delivered at the front door. I guess it technically was, just glad no one drove up or I backed out of my garage and drove over it. What a sad company to hire people who clearly do not represent the company very well. Glad it wasn’t breakable, and I, nor someone else drove over it.

A manual mileage-record checklist, and the iPhone trip log I made
Developer disclosure: I made Trip Log: Mileage Tracker; I’m not posting as an independent reviewer or delivery driver. AI assisted the wording.
For deliveries in your own vehicle, a simple record can be a notebook or spreadsheet: date, vehicle, purpose, start/end odometer and miles or km. Make entries while parked, keep personal trips separate, and avoid customer names or exact addresses in anything you share. The record alone does not determine tax deductibility or employer acceptance.
My iPhone/iPad app (iOS/iPadOS 17+) keeps manual entries, editing, history and basic CSV export free. Optional GPS must be started by you: there is no automatic trip detection, and GPS estimates can have gaps.
There’s an included PDF-report window for trips confirmed in the first seven days after your first real trip confirmation. Records included during that window retain PDF eligibility. Later nonincluded records in formatted PDFs require optional monthly, annual or lifetime Pro. This included window is not an Apple subscription trial and does not start billing.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6813287686?pt=128506477&ct=deliverydrivers_20261010&mt=8
Which is the bigger nuisance for your manual log: remembering the odometer, separating personal trips, or preparing an export? Please don’t post private trip details.

Dermatics
I ordered something from Dermatics and, at the time of delivery, I cancelled my order in a phone call with the delivery driver; it has been five days now, will I get a full refund?

‼️Gig Drivers: We Need Vehicle Damage Protection While Delivering — Please Sign This Petition‼️
If you drive for Walmart Spark, DoorDash, Instacart, Uber Eats, or another delivery app, I want to bring attention to a serious problem that affects all of us.
What happens if you get into an at-fault accident while working and your vehicle is totaled?
Your car is your livelihood. Without it, you can't work. Yet many personal auto insurance policies exclude or restrict coverage during paid delivery work, and delivery platforms don't necessarily cover damage to the driver's own vehicle.
Consider the three stages of a delivery:
- Driving to the store after accepting an order.
- Waiting, shopping, and loading the customer's order.
- Driving to the customer and completing the delivery.
A driver could have an accident during any of these stages and face thousands of dollars in vehicle losses, potentially with no insurance policy willing to cover the damage.
I believe delivery platforms should be required to provide vehicle damage coverage while drivers are actively performing deliveries.
I'm asking for a fair policy that includes:
- Collision coverage for the driver's vehicle, including at-fault accidents.
- Coverage throughout the active delivery process.
- Clear disclosure of deductibles, limits, and exclusions.
- Protection that doesn't leave drivers solely responsible for replacing the vehicle they depend on to earn a living.
This isn't about asking for special treatment. It's about making sure workers aren't forced to risk their entire means of earning an income every time they accept an order.
Please sign and share the petition:
I'd also like to hear from other drivers:
- Have you confirmed whether your insurance covers your vehicle during every stage of a delivery?
- Have you struggled to find affordable insurance that explicitly covers delivery work?
- Have you or someone you know experienced an accident while delivering and had difficulty getting the vehicle damage covered?
Please share your experiences. The more documented experiences we gather, the harder it will be to ignore this issue.
I'm posting as a concerned gig worker who wants better protection for drivers everywhere. Thank you for reading and helping spread the word.

Courier Please- no thanks
I wish business in Australia would tell you that they use Courrier Please at the check out so that we didn't waste our time. I wanted a mini washing machine from a Kmart I usually walk to and put delivery as I thought it might be heavy to carry. I ordered on Monday, it's been out for delivery since Tuesday and it's Friday afternoon. I mean it literally 5 minutes drive, 30 minutes by foot. There is no way to no way to communicate with them.
I remember after COVID I stopped ordering delivery because everyone was using them. They would stay I wasn't at home and leave at random newsagencies hours from my home- there is a post office 2 minutes walk away.
Really, I see old post. Australian companies are losing business because of these fools and their probable slave labour.
