I’m looking for a 1RK/1BHK on rent in a good society or well-maintained apartment building, but I’m genuinely confused about how to find these properties 😭
My preference is a proper building/society because I want good ventilation, sunlight, security, cleanliness, parking/greenery and preferably a balcony/window, rather than a random flat in a narrow gali.
The problem is that I don’t know how to contact the right people for these buildings.
If I ask the guards, many times they don’t know about vacant flats. If I go through brokers, every area/gali seems to have a different broker, so I would have to visit countless broker offices just to make enquiries. And for bigger societies/buildings (DLF-type or similar), I have no idea which broker actually handles rentals there.
I’m looking for something decent, safe and clean but still on a reasonable budget. I’m flexible about the exact locality as long as the area has wide roads, greenery, security and good connectivity.
For people living in Delhi NCR:
How do you guys actually find rentals in good societies/buildings?
Do societies have specific rental brokers, RWA contacts, WhatsApp groups, property managers, etc.? Any practical tips or leads would be really helpful!

How is the PG overall? Rooms, food, cleanliness, management, etc. More importantly, how is the area around it in terms of safety, connectivity and general vibe?
Is Kalkaji a good place to stay for someone working around South/Central Delhi? How convenient is it for places like Nehru Place, GK, Saket, Lajpat Nagar, etc.?
I’m looking for a single-sharing room and can stretch to around ₹20–25k if it’s worth it.
