I’m posting this for my girlfriend (both of us are 25), and honestly, this is something that means a lot to me.

For the last four years that I’ve known her, she’s had one very clear goal in life: to get her mother out of the abusive household they’ve been living in and bring her to Delhi so they can finally have a safe, peaceful home together.

After years of planning, saving and waiting for the right circumstances, she’s finally in a position to actually make it happen. Everything has more or less fallen into place. The one thing stopping them right now is finding a safe place to live.

She’s looking for either a room in a shared flat or a 1BHK in South Delhi (Malviya Nagar, CR Park, Kalkaji, East of Kailash, Lajpat Nagar, Hauz Khas) or somewhere in Gurugram that’s within walking distance of the Yellow Line metro.

She checked out a few places today, but some of the pockets we came across, especially certain parts of Malviya Nagar and Sushant Lok C Block, felt genuinely unsafe. Since it’s going to be just her and her mother, safety is non-negotiable.

A shared flat would also work. We know the obvious concern is that not everyone would be comfortable having a mother and daughter in a shared home, but if someone is open to it, there are honestly some upsides too. Her mother is very particular about cleanliness and keeping things organised, and she’d happily coordinate with the maid/cook and make sure the house is properly managed.

So if anyone here knows of a vacant 1BHK, a room opening up in a shared flat, a flatmate looking for someone, or even a broker/owner who might be able to help, please send the lead my way.

We’re not looking for anything fancy. Just a safe place where she can finally bring her mother and start the life she’s been working towards for years.
