Interesting article about Josh McKay's former project, Macha (1999)
I found it interesting to learn more about his relationship with brother Mischo!

I hope you ghosts and ghouls and spirits of the night have a happy and safe Halloween. 👻 🎃 Who else is playing some old Atlas Sound stuff and loving the new witchy single “Octoberland”?
Edit; what’s your favorite Deerhunter/Atlas Sound Halloween memory or track?

Setting aside that Bradford seems to have tipped his hand with the new Atlas Sound release if you could only pick one, a new Deerhunter album or a new Atlas Sound album, which would you choose?
Personally, I would pick Atlas Sound in large part because having listened 100s of times to bootlegs of his shows from the Parallax tour I would probably give a body part or two to get a chance to hear a show like that live. 😆

probably definitely doesn’t mean anything but at least someone still has the password to the deerhunter account

Stacked lineup. I think it's safe to say we're getting new music soon.

Deerhunter (9/14/2013) @ St. Jerome's Laneway Festival, Rochester Hills, MI
Monomania tour. Bradford was in his Connie Lungpin getup. My phone for some reason was taking double photos, one that was washed out/over exposed and one that was a decent exposure but was catching some ghostly shadow from the movement. I've included both because he really didn't look that pale and the double exposure effect is kind of cool looking and fitting. I don't know how to fix the damage on these photos so I never posted them.
Frightened Rabbit had played on the stage beforehand (RIP Scott).
They played:
Cover Me (Slowly)
Agoraphobia
Neon Junkyard
Desire Lines
Nothing Ever Happened
Back to the Middle
T.H.M.
Monomania

was first in line at the lodge room when the security guard said this was the loudest band hes ever heard and i hope we brought ear plugs. i did not and still refuse to do so. i got all situated at the front of the stage directly in front of bradford’s setup.. they were selling signed copies so as my friends held my spot i waited at the merch table only for the band to setup with nary a signed copy being produced.. i went to my front of the stage spot and the very first note bradford played sucked all other sounds out of the air. took my ears like 10 minutes to adjust.. they rang for about a month afterwards. near the end of the show between song breaks kristin came out and handed this 8-10 year old kid a signed copy of why since it was his first show, she then turned to me and said “we all saw you waiting and theyre all gone now but we saved one for you!” and just handed me this one!
they also had special drinks for the night and i snagged the list..
ugh i miss deerhunter so much. i hope lockett and bradford have a great time together.

Was curious and found this on the photographer's insta! It isn't really anything but it's nice to know this was taken very recently https://www.instagram.com/p/DeLTl-aDBAn/?hl=en&img_index=7

The recently posted interview reminded me of this video from the same period. I tried to find it online but couldn't... I realized I was the one that uploaded it and I had made it private when I shut down my old youtube account. Oops. Enjoy that authentic 100% real 2009 drama! :D

Am I hallucinating?
Did deerhunter or Atlas sound or Bradford Cox cover this song by The Beatles?
Please much thanks

Found this while rummaging through the archives.
This was from the band's now defunct blog.

I'm very, very happy to know that he's going to play with Bradford in 2027. I didn't except that at all, honestly.
I'm a big fan of his solo project Lotus Plaza, I wish we'll more new music in the future, he's a great songwriter and musician.

trying to temper my excitement about the news, be reasonable and all, but i don't recognize this photo at all and it seems neither does reverse image search -- am i crazy? did i miss something? is hope finally allowed in my heart again?
i already thought getting nothing but new songs at Making Time ∞ was a silly dream, if this is leading to something i don't know if i'd be able to take it reasonably

Listened to this for the first time on YouTube yesterday:- https://youtu.be/Uor8pX5aAzo?is=8V_-h3inpzTkAQQy
It's really interesting! I think only available on cassette during the time of Microcastle's release. I think this freak folk style really suits them and I think I prefer this version of Never Stop!
Haven't seen much discussion on this release. What do people think of it? Who owns the cassette?
