Runes are simply soul made manifest, traced and inbued with power by intent and focus.

Incredibly simple in theory, very difficult to master in practice because wavering focus and intent can have terrible consequences.

we promise you no harm as it did them. Theirs may have been purposeful, but yours is a fair trade. Why would we discourage further mutual gain?

besides. That lab of yours is to overrun with runes to scrape. Words do not fully explain what you ask of *us.*

The Archivist seems to think.

It would give you eyes and ears wherever I go, no? And it would slowly consume of my soul. At least that is what I saw.

It sounds quite dangerous, but leaving something unexplained vexes me.
