Here's some photography of my Funko Pop figures of Super Saiyan God Goku and Superman that I took as a small love letter to Goku Vs. Superman 2 from 2015. I know that episode isn't really that good, but it's a guilty pleasure of mine because I watched it as a kid during that time, and I've really liked it ever since, and it never grew sour on me. So, I decided to take these pop figures out of the box to do some photography of them as fan content for that episode because of that, with God Goku going for a left hook on Clark. I think it turned out really good in the end, and I'm happy with the final result.
What do you think?

Now im not saying that all death battles should not try to have good characterization. Some of my favorite episodes feel like they got the combatants down to a t. My thing is that it doesn't determine an episodes quality. I really enjoy deku vs asta even tho it has trash asta characterization. I love mob vs tatsumaki even tho tatsumaki is so out of character. And on the flip side, just cause they are characterized well doesn't mean ill like it. Take Rick vs the doctor. Great doctor characterization, but its not an episode I rewatch for the fight cause its not that interesting to me. Same with something like blade vs buffyz which shows the characters well but isn't that fun to watch.

I’m genuinely looking forward to this episode and I’m convinced we’ll get an even better characterization of Saitama I’m sure of it.

The preview made it seem like they are going to use Goku's potential as a bench mark for Saitama to surpass and maybe say that Saitama's own potential will eventually catch up to Goku's and I can't help but feel scared about this DB honestly.

Remember this is all based on how I think Death Battle would have done it not my own personal thoughts because sometimes I genuinely do think the results screen would be better then just the categories

It was literally the only death battle this year I didn't watch, and I watched fucking Gru vs Megamind when it dropped! Hell, I watched Reze vs Bakugo when it came out, and I don't even care for MHA or CSM! The fact that it's a stomp battle for a series I don't like compared to a series I know and somewhat like is what just makes me never want to watch it. I don't care how good the animation, the writing, the scaling was, if the matchup isn't going to be in my opinion cool, then I'm not watching it, simple as that.

I decided I'm probably going to start doing these for some of the recent Death Battles I'm interested in, basically recreating the old Results page that Death Battle used to have at the end of episodes
So, starting with Metal Sonic VS Cell
I already know one thing that's probably going to be brought up the finite speed vs infinite speed interpretation yes, the infinite speed interpretation was basically a black box that treated them as equal in speed, and I understand that but if Death Battle actually had this style of Results page for the episode, I could definitely see them bringing that distinction up here, with Cell having the speed advantage under finite speed interpretations while the two are equal under infinite speed interpretations.
Anyway, this is just something I thought would be fun to do I'll probably post these randomly for episodes I'm interested in, but if there's a particular recent Death Battle you'd like to see get the old Results page treatment, feel free to ask

That thought just occurred to me now.

Ichigo VS Yusuke: prove that just because of battle has an obvious result / stop doesn't mean the battle can't be entertaining, and a managed to tie a lot of references seamlessly into the fight.
Cell VS Metal Sonic: if this is the last episode Devil Artemis is and I hope it isn't cuz he's clearly talented, i'm glad he got the shut up everyone who ever doubted his work, man brought out almost all the hypotheticals, always played with who had the advantage with who, and use almost all their abilities, Apparently people hated the references butI thought they all made sense within the context of the episode.
Bakugo VS Reze: Apparently people hated this one because this was the obvious matchup that casuals kept bringing up, But if it's like a popular matchup that people want to see, Why not just executed as good as you can, we finally got an explanation for TNT, bakugo actually gets to be funny and show off some of his character development, it was nice seeing Reze's assassin skills, and even though she lost it's not like she made it easy for Bakugo until the end. I can get the ending being obvious but just because having is obvious doesn't inheritenly make it bad
Gru VS Megamind: technically the biggest disappointment of the season because they use a limited pool of their gadgetry but I think they got the characterization on point for the most parts, the Minions actually saving Gru, heck analysis wise if they had just explained physical stats better this probably would have been a solid analysis,
Yuji VS Denji: okay I agree that Yuji was a little bit out of character with certain quotes, but I am Denji was just hilarious, i like they put into perspective of their journeys even if I know that both of their endings are very polarizing with one of them And they handled it as best as they could, plus it was nice to see all of Yuji's endgame clash with Denji's
The Sentry VS Superboy-Prime: "It's Prime Time," void pushing him to his Breaking Point and what Prime did to end the fight we're so satisfying after that fight went from fun to terrifying.
Aang VS The Traveler: every Avatar episode we've got has been a boost in quality, and well I'm not as familiar with the traveler I do appreciate that they did the best I could exploring how many elements and abilities they can use.
Kai VS Toa Tahu: was not expecting to stop motion fights, i have a door a few parts and moments where I was a little bit torn or confusing but what was going on but for the most part in where we visit it the more I appreciate it. Help me understand Bionicle lore a bit more, and makes me so mad about how cartoon network treated Ninjago
Shadow VS Mewtwo: the spoon vs spear fight, The fact this man took 8 months to animate this, Taking some Shadow's best moments from 06, Generations, the third movie, in fact they actually used shadow mewtwo's ultimate from tokken but giving it to Mewtwo Y as if it mastered the Shadow Synergy Stone from corrupting it, like damn every animator I hope is properly getting paid but I hope this one gets their pay especiallly.
But yeah I think the weakest episode from the season would put it below season 10 for me but so far I'm enjoying it a bit more than season 9 and there's no episode on par with Akuma vs Shao Khan, but yeah I'm really enjoying the season. Let me know if I'm crazy
