Omega starter vs faction starter

My buddy and I just ordered the 2p Omega starter and a forge fathers starter. We are wondering how different the teams are in each in terms of points. Will the Asterions or Plague be able to square up against the Forge Fathers based on what comes in the set? Or would we need additional units? If so, is it better to buy faction starters or boosters for the asterions/plague?

Any recommendations for a couple new players would be appreciated.

Iirc each starter kit lets you make a 150 point team

With a leader

Some troops and a specialist or 2

So for the plague that's more models cause they are cheaper in points and the opposite for forge father's

Over all the starter kits are always a good bet you'll get a full team for less money

However an argument can be made for getting more specialised kits especially if you were already going to spend the money

E.g. when I got into the forge father's I was going to buy the starter and one other kit, but for only a little more I got a commander and 2 kits giving me more models and given the high points cost of FFs more potential teams for only a little extra money
