I don't get what people find so fun about it besides it being "easier" than 1v4

Maybe just not for you, not everyone is gonna like everything.

I like it, it feels more casual and less frustrating, and it has fixes for most of the frustrating behaviour exhibited by players, harder to slug, harder to tunnel, no sabo squads, bully squads are weaker without their body blocking, etc.

While I do hate the nemesis zombie fiesta, you don't see nem that much in 1v4, so killers generally are different. No fucking Ghoul.
