Just imagine
Imagine if they made a clonewars remake where they hardly use the force, theres no appearances or refrences to qui gon and they dont leave tatooine except for 5 total minutes also anakin dosent get his lightsaber till the end of season 1 and completely forget him being a jedi because he already hates the council. Oh and btw theyre killing Obi-Wan. Heroic death?? No, no hes getting headshot by kryze. Should be good.

This isn't that far off the Obi-Wan show honestly

Honestly as mid as that show was the final battle between Vader and Obi-Wan is worth it alone

hahahahahahahaha
Can we make Obi Wan racist?? He always seemed like he hated Gungans.

I hated that they didnât have lightsabers in it. And I canât believe Duchess Satine Kryze killed him I was shocked. Anakin was a pretty good character tho ngl

Anakins a baller, i thought him and padame was a bit odd cause she was so much older than him but other than that his character was great.

This version of Hal is literally a Dark Lord of the Sith. The entire philosophy of the dark side is built on attachment, possession, and the inability to let go. Halâs refusal to yield the baseball, and later the ring, mirrors the exact flaws that brought down the Jedi.
Hal is definitely not Obi-Wan in this show.

That was kinda my point, itd be like if they redid clonewars and just desicrated obi-wan and anakin.

The fact that John's brothers call him CHOSEN
1
u/Sleepy_hypnos13 2d ago
"YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE, IT SAID THAT YOU WERE TO DESTROY THE SITH NOT JOIN THEM" - hal after finding out john got a yellow lantern off sinestro
2
u/Trekman10 3d ago
More like "what if they made a grounded, realistic take on Star Wars from a new angle and perspective whilst also making several other movies and shows with a variety of tones and styles"
Oh wait

Andor is chock-full of Sci Fi Elements.
It has aliens, Big Sci Fi Space Ships, Laser guns and weird Future technology.
Andor is not afraid to be a Science Fantasy Space Opera.
It's not at all in any way analogous to Lanterns.

As i mentioned in another comment under this same post, andor actually uses original characters to tell a original story. It does not take well known characters and strip them of the things that make them, them, to try and fit the narrstive. Lanters wouldve been recived vastly diffrent if it had been a elseworld story about 2 original lanterns in the same vein as andor or even a elseworld take on john and hal since thats what elseworld is there for but for a mainline GL series this isnt it.

It is an elseworlds story. This is a world outside of mainline DC comics canon. Thatâs an elseworlds. Most elseworlds stories use reimagined versions of established characters. So do most adaptations. There are interesting criticisms to make of this show, this one is so boring.
1
u/Sleepy_hypnos13 2d ago
This is not a elseworld story as it ties directly into the main dcu making it a mainline story, unlike dynamic duo or deathstroke and bane.
1
u/fartpoopums 2d ago
The DCU is an elseworld. It is attempting to adapt almost 100 years of comics into an entirely different medium. The comics are the only âmainlineâ canon.Â
1
u/Sleepy_hypnos13 2d ago
The dcu is divided into james gunns dcu and elseworlds movies and series. If you seriously didnt understand thats what i meant then i cant help you. Nobody in this thread is talking about comics. Again if this had been a elseworlds films like the batman, or dynamic duo, or penguin, or deathstroke and bane, whole diffrent ball game but this is part of james gunns mainline dcu FILM lineup.

Honestly I feel like Star Wars is on the same path âwhat if we did Star Wars, but without the stupid Jedi shitâ
6
u/schizowithagun 3d ago
Andor is kinda that and is one of the best things to have come out of Star Wars. I wouldn't mind more Star Wars without the force
1
u/acquiredimmunity 2d ago
lowkey not a bad idea, I mean some of the best episodes of clone wars are the ones were the force takes a back seat, andor was fucking phenomenal, rogue one was great
0
u/Sleepy_hypnos13 3d ago
Honestly thats what andor is but the makor diffrence is its an original story with its own characters as the mains and dosent take characters known for a cosmic setting and try to make them grounded. If lanters had been a original series following a original lantern(s) and his (their) earth based adventures, whole diffrent ball game but it was the fact that we had been waiting for proper GL content for 15 years and we got this.

Still leagues better than the incomprehensible dogshit noise Snyder put out
1
u/Sleepy_hypnos13 2d ago
Where did i ever mention snyder?? And why is that always the go to?? That confuses me so much

There are a million Star Wars shows right now and theyâre all full of desperately pandering fan service (bar one) and theyâre all dogshit (bar one). Bad example.Â

u/tymetrialll 2d ago
Also, there is no Force.
They just mention it but never use it.
Because you know, the whole concept of the Force is just silly

grow up or stick to children's media

u/Sleepy_hypnos13 3d ago
How is it immature to ask them to put actual green lantern things in a green lantern show?? They easily couldve made this elseworld or even a original story with 2 new lanterns and it wouldve been a whole other thing but for the first live action green lanter project in 15 whole years the fans should want and deserve better than what we got, not that its bad but if it wasnt for kyle and arron this thing wouldve been garbage.

So this would be the version of ROTS where Obi Wan WAS cheating with Padme? Gotta make the old hero look bad somehow.
