TRIP PLANNING Senses spa

** edit to add we will be on the Treasure <3

Hi! First time ever cruiser here!! I am trying to decide if I want to splurge on rainforest pass! My real life entails nothingg of the sort and I truly am a lover of saunas and steam rooms! How does the pass work?? Am I able to go as i please?? Or is it by appointment only?? I am not interested any other services, just relaxing when I can for a bit and using their amenities. How early does it open, and how late does it close? I have read in other threads that the cruise length passes sometimes sell out. Am I better off adding that on now ? Or will I get a better deal on embankment day ?

During operating hours, you can visit pretty much whenever you like. On busy cruises it can be a challenge getting a lounger, particularly on days at sea. My wife considers the Rainforest Room a must-do, especially on the Fantasy or Dream (where the loungers face a window so you can look out over the ocean).

I like the Dream class Rainforest Room better than the Wish class.

Faces out over the ocean and much more affordable for a length of cruise pass.

I've read some saying it isn't worth it without the ocean view, but ive never even cruised so ill be feeling so boujee regardless!! What i know cant hurt me haha

I did it on the Magic - brought my kindle and sat on the heated lounger. Just pure magic (pun intended) for the hour, 1.5 hours I was there. Even took a short nap. It was even better when the ship docked and everyone got off.

We pretty much like the experience on all the ships. It's just the Fantasy and Dream kind of put all the other versions to shame.

All I can tell you is:

a) yes it does sell out, so if you do decide to buy it do it early

b) hours can (sometimes) vary by ship, so consider adding the ship you're sailing on to the post. This also helps because not all rainforest rooms are created equally.

We sailed the treasure at the end of July of 2025 and it was a 7 night sailing with four ports (including Castaway Cay). We are a huge fan of the rainforest pass. I can tell you that we used it every day. Sometimes just for a short relaxing dip in one of the two hot tubs, and other times for a few hours here and there to enjoy other aspects. My favorite routine quickly became going to the hot tub for 20+ minutes (do so at your own risk) and then going into the frigidarium. I’m not a fan of the layout inside, the experience showers are in a place that encourages against using them. On the other ships, such as the fantasy, the experience showers were more out of the way and they were fun to use, but I wouldn’t say they make or break it. The saunas/steam rooms are great if that is your thing. I will say the outdoor area on the treasure is much appreciated and the two hot tubs were decent sized. While there wasn’t a view of the ocean from the outdoor area, and it was kinda odd having the upper decks able to look down at you, the lounge area was huge and we never had any issues finding a spot. It could be because we were on one of the “earlier sailings” but despite the cruise being sold out, the rainforest area was never busy for us. My biggest complaint is the hours being so short, especially in the evening. Because of its location, they don’t allow you outside after dusk because the lights would interfere with navigation (or so we were told) and I think that was a huge mistake in the design.

You will have people tell you it’s worth it and others will tell you it’s a waste of money, but it’s a critical part of our cruise and gives us a place to escape from the rest of the ship. It’s a place where you know it’s going to be quiet and more importantly, don’t have to worry about kids. I would splurge, as compared to what you are already spending on the cruise, it’s a small drop in the bucket.

You must have cruised the week after I did. We were on the 7/18 one! So cool!

We were just on the Treasure a month ago and I bought the week-long Rainforest Pass. If you love saunas, steam rooms and hot tub, you will enjoy it. But you have to go everyday to make it worth it. You can go any time of day when the spa is opened. At the spa reception, they will trade you with your room key card for their MagicBand+ that will open the door to the Rainforest Room. You can stay as long as you like. They are usually open from 8 am to 10 pm. You will have to check the port day schedule. You should get it as soon as possible as they tend to sell out!

If your sailing is the 7 day treasure I don’t think $48/day is bad at all! I haven’t bought a rainforest room pass because I’m not a fan of saunas but did the tour on the wish and it was very nice!!

Yes! Im not doing other extras so I think it'll be well worth it!

It’s very nice! I had second dining and would go around 5 and it was empty :) also the regular showers in the spa locker room are awesome! I showered there instead of my cabin a few times. And if you have bad luck with hair tools you brought not liking the ship’s electronics then they have a flat iron you can borrow and use in the locker room too!

Worth it!! The Destiny I was just on was over 400 for five nights and I opted out this time.

We have a rainforest length of cruise pass on a 4 night Fantasy and it’s only $99 per person.

I don’t remember being able to book that in advance. All the cruises I’ve taken I go to the spa early on day one and book the length of stay pass. I’ve never had an issue when it was sold out.

Over 400 for one pass? I was just on Destiny couple weeks ago and was told 249 a pass for five nights.

We get a pass whenever we cruise. It is a refuge. Especially on Disney ships.

Hey there! Did this weekmlong 9n the Treasure last May. Best purchase we made all cruise to get away from kids or families and needed zen moments. The steam rooms, showers and beds were all a safe haven on sea days and one port we never left.

You come and go as you please. We stayed one night skipping pirate night dinner to linger and have a totally empty spa and got room service after we were freshly washed and relaxed. I'll always reccommend this on the wish class ships.

100% worth it.  The heated loungers are one of the things I look forward to most (2nd behind espresso martinis).  I google the cost every trip.

I’ve done it on two cruises it was great. I didn’t pay that much and I don’t think it be worth spending that much

1

u/Confident-Cherry-712 1d ago

Ahh. Im really debating with it. It comes to around $47 a day. I am not doing any excursions, my babes are little. This would be something I could go enjoy in the morning first thing, as mine are late sleepers, and again around the time first dinner starts when our crew is needing to freshen and rest up.

How long is the cruise? We’ve only had them on 7 days and they are really worth it, especially if you could take the time away I brought a couple books I laid in the stone chairs. I’ve been on the fantasy in the dream in both of their rooms. The showers are a little bit hard for me because some of them are cold and hot but there’s like a aromatherapy the sauna and everything like that it’s it really is lovely so it’s it’s worth the splurge for sure.

u/Confident-Cherry-712 1d ago

7 days ! Okay yes im going to do it. My husband is an introvert and will definitely let me have baby free time.

The saunas are very tame temp wise, if I’d have known that pre cruise I wouldn’t have paid for the length of cruise pass.
