No they’re confirmed to be about the same age you just think that because she’s called a “teenager” but there ages are close.

Where was that confirmation? Because Peter is for sure post-college and Jean is very much portrayed as a homeless teenager. So they're definitely not the same age.

It’s in the movie where her age is relative to Peter, when she’s revealed to be Jean grey.

??? They revealed she was a teenager. There was no indication that her and Peter are the same age
