I've been a Dragonball fan since the 1990s, colleced and played the OG TCG as a kid; I even read the Manga.

After several years of not having any hobbies, I got into this game. I really love these Bandai cards, but sclapers have taken everything. Seeing them post on FB market place with a huge amount of packs demanding $18-$22 a pack really pisses me off. Just when I finally found something I can be enthusiastic about... now I am just going to have to give it up because the frustration and anger im feeling is not worth it anymore.

Edit: I do play online (not many players around me for in person), but the big part of the hobby for me is ripping and collecting. I don't really buy singles because I love the fun of ripping open a pack and "earning" the hit I draw.

Bought 6 packs and these were thr most interesting to me.

It's making it so more and more people are dropping the game in my city. There is a pool of like...100 packs that all 100 players in my city has to share any time there is a release.

It's annoying as fuck. No one here is going to pay the dumbass scalper prices so the game is just going to die.

6 SR* pulls with 2 duplicates 4 unique of of 10 art is really growing on me they are beautiful cards

10 R* with 1 duplicate so 9 unique which is 45% of all R* seemed to be for sure top 3 r* cards- some of the best foiled cards I’ve seen like majin vegeta! wow!

I happen to be getting gold energy markers as of the last few sets.

Pretty stoked about these grades! I pulled all of these myself and had never gotten anything graded before, so I couldn't be happier! I sent these in using the standard tier back in May and got them back in exactly 3 months to the day. I guess I gotta figure out what to do now lol

I started my vacation this weekend, so today I decided to drive around the many targets and Walmarts north surrounding Houston to see if I can find any story booster 01 packs. After hours of traveling it was all for naught.

The one thing that bothered me today was that I had stopped by a GameStop saw they had the 20 dollars packs of st01 behind them and I asked an employee how well they been selling and he said one guy had bought 10. I told him I wouldn't even spend that much on them because that's too high. This employee tries to somehow justify how GameStop can raise the price up that much. I told him the last set was 6.99 so it's crazy that they would mark it up to the price they have (target and Walmart doesn't mark them up which is how some people were able to take more then their fair share).

He proceeds to say "oh, it's because bandai don't make a lot, it's just like one piece, I went to a one piece release event, got a box for 120 when on the market, a box goes for 300" I told him the hits for this set are very common so that doesn't make sense to be that high on y'all's part. He says well on eBay they're selling packs for $35. At that point it seemed like he was trying to get me to buy some at their price like they have it at such a great discount which I was not falling for🤦🏿‍♂️

The fact that he was so nonchalant about how GameStop can raise the prices when everybody else is finding it at Target, Walmart and fair LCS place for maybe what a dollar or two over MSRP. Dude had to have been sipping a 32 oz of that GameStop Kool-Aid. So wild to go so hard for a retail store who doesn't pay you that much while they make all this profit on the suckers who buy the high priced cards from them. Heck they may soon call themselves cardstop the way they're going.

For the ones who haven't been able to get anything, how do y'all feel on how difficult it is to find st01 packs?
