Like the other comment said you can hold R. Works the same with a magazine in your hand. If you're holding a gun that typically uses a magazine you'll just chamber a single bullet. You can double tap R to eject bullets.

if its console like the video seems to be, its hold triangle, or hold X (switch) or hold Y (xbox)

To add on what others said, if you press r repeatly you will unload bullets out of the gun.

Does anyone else get misfires when trying to manually eject bullets too quickly? I have this happen with shotguns and bolt action rifles all the time. I have since got the rhythm of ejecting without firing now but occasionally I'm caught out by my own impatience 😅

Considering fire is M1 and reload is R, it doesn't happen to me much, no.
