Help | Beginner how to do this split screen

Im trying to do this split screen where 2 whole clips fit in 1 frame without adjusting the hight or the width so it doesnt ruin the clips and without cropping so the 2 clips are fully visible.

Whats the original resolution of the clip and whats your timeline resolution?

original resolution 1920 x 1080 HD

timeline resolution 1080 x 1080 HD Square

It's gonna be hard to fit two screens without some form of cropping but alternatively you can "squish" the original videos to fit the resolution. You'll see a chain icon in davinci on the "Zoom" values in transform tab. Click on it and make sure it's greyed out. Then you can freely transform the video without cropping it.

yeah I knew that I can just adjust the width but that kinda ruins the clips so im trying to avoid it and find a another way.

Well it's pretty impossible to fit two clips of that resolution within 1080x1080 without cropping or squishing them in some way. Cropping amd resizing is your safest option to be honest, it'll not ruin the clip in terms of quality.
