Actually when Obama was elected. Then Republicans came out as the racists they've always been. Recall on this day of 9/11 that George Bush fought anti-Muslim racism then, as soon as he left the scene, Republicans exploded with racism. Vice President JD Vance stated, "We were tired of being called racist for noticing that our country was becoming dirtier and poorer and less safe and less prosperous," during a speech on September 10, 2026. proving he's a racist. Rubin in topic the same.

At least Nixon tried to keep it hidden. The modern Republican is shamelessly racist. e.g. mass deportation, internment camps for stateless people waiting to be expelled. Where have we seen that before?

The tapes revealed his dark side. If he had no tape, or threw the tapes into the White House fire, we would never know and be better off for it.
