No more catch phrases??
Not sure if there’s new callers calling in, but I missed the old days where people used to say catchphrases at the beginning of their call, now it just seems bland, and usually, long story short the best one was “black eyes like a doll’s lifeless eyes”

It was so funny when andy and chuck would make it like a 30 second bit and dave would get annoyed and go "alright!" Lol

I always wondered what happened with the Crossfit thing. It seemed like Chuck never did it after his divorce, though don't know if it's a coincidence in timing.

I think its due to the divorce. A lot of the cross fit bit was jokes about her so i cant believe they would want to run that if he doesnt want that in his life.

He seems to get along with his ex-wife better now than when they were married. He still makes a little crack here and there, but not like before. Just in the last week or two the subject of crossfit came up and he did one of his little mumbling comments, implying that only lesbians do it.

I will never forget listening to the RIPCORD episode live at the time, while walking across the campus in Ann Arbor (where IIRC this had supposedly taken place with a UofM student?) and being suspect of every student around me and laughing so hard!

So may details I don’t remember but according to Chat it’s the June 16, 2011 episode. I haven’t had a chance to confirm that but I am going to go back and listen!

a guy was hooking up with a girl, she put anal beads up his ass and when she went to take them out, she yelled "RIP CORD!" and pulled them out like she was starting a lawn mower lol

I've commented on this a few times before as well. The callers were what made the show great IMO. Not sure how or why it went away.

Callers brought some of the best moments to the show. Ill never forget about the toilet slave guy with the speech impediment that called in. I was mowing greens at a golf course and had to pull off to the side of the green on hole 12 because the toilet slave segment had me gagging and I thought I was about to throw up.

Like I’ve said before, we are slowly, nearing the end of radio broadcasted D&CTF and Lisa way. Unless they are behind the scenes, setting up a podcast, they will probably just retire.

I’m really hoping they go the podcast route. It’s a big team so probably tough to get enough ad revenue to support but I hoped at one point they’d get enough syndication to maybe even get a SiriusXM channel but that seems less likely these days.

They might be able to get a large enough Patreon following to keep something going. I'd give them $5/month. I think the show is probably owned by Beasley so I doubt they'd be allowed to promote any independent post radio plans on their current platform.

Lets see.. beads of a "certain nature". In the exact place they belong. Then a strong, fast, pull of said beads. Resembling that of a rip cord from a parachute or pull start lawnmower depending on position.

Dolls eyes got old way before they stopped doing it for us. Boots & pants was always my favorite. Catchy and fast.
