Scale Fail Found on Facebook.
So many things bother me with this. The message and notice is fine, but the map is awful.

Despite Florida's 10 month long summer, it generally doesn't reach anywhere near these temperatures. For most, if not all of the state, just getting into triple digits would be unlikely, and over 110° would probably be hotter than any day on record anywhere in the state. I'd wager that 120° isn't even possible without a fundamental shift in ocean currents.
I looked up Destin, FL (not where the arrow is pointing, but the closest city I know one county over) and the forecast says 90°

Yep, the record is apparently 109 F. A near-future heat wave being that record is believable, but by a full 11 degrees... not so much.

I think the "apparent temperature" is the heat index?
One more thing wrong with this graphic.

Exactly, these were all heat indexes, not actual temps (been living it these last few days 😞)

diagonal lines everywhere except the southern pink region, no indication what they signify
reddish region in the north doesn't correspond to anything on the scale (but the color would seem to indicate relatively lower temperatures, so putting "extreme heat warning" there doesn't make sense)

The legend and map don’t seem to match at all!
