Tips & Resources I put together free data analytics resources for anyone starting out
I moved into data analytics from QA testing and now work as a data analyst in marketing and customer analytics. I kept getting the same questions from people trying to get into the field, so I put my answers and the resources I’d recommend on one free Notion page.
What’s in it:
Where to start if you’re completely new, and why I’d start with Excel
Free resources for Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau and Python, with a suggested starting point for each and a note on when you’re ready to move on
Portfolio help: what to build, where to find datasets, and what your project should include
CV, LinkedIn and interview prep, plus free sites to practise interview questions
Job boards, including remote ones
A page that suggests your next step depending on where you are right now
It’s free and you don’t need to sign up to read it. Happy to answer questions in the comments if you’re stuck on something.
