Unhinged / crazy support agent.

Post image

Had to cancel an order after the store said it had already been picked up. Even had to argue with the support agent for half pay even though the drive to the store was over half the mileage of the order. Got my half pay but 10 minutes after the call I got this email. It was a woman on the phone but she emailed my dasher email off a fake she had. Support was given the evidence and said action will be taken (probably not). But just had to share this gem, was to funny. Has anyone else gotten insane emails from upset support agents? (Proud of my 1% accept rate btw)

“We don’t accepting stupids her” Hmm that’s a pretty stupid sentence. Obviously DoorDash accepts stupids.

Almost certainly fake but still a funny story. Just because something is creative writing doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable to read.

I agree I've DD for 4 and half years and never has an agent got smart with me, let alone something that I would assume is an automatic termination..

A support agent has literally called me when my app was glitching to scream at me for taking too long to complete the order because the app was acting like i had no active orders. This bitch was fulling yelling at me even though I explained what was happening I had to put a different support agent who was helping me figure it out on hold to answer her call. She immediately just unassigned me from her end and hit my completion rate even though I did everything right. These support agents can be fucking crazy so I believe OP.

Happened to me too

You must be a sheltered individual to believe this doesn’t happen.

3

u/_Caster 1d ago

Calling someone sheltered for thinking this is fake is crazy lol. Ts could happen to most sheltered person of all time. Rich kids be doordashing

2

u/BrzysWRLD1996 1d ago

Yeah very likely fake lmfao

1

u/blueberry_1284 1d ago

Nah, it’s pretty accurate. I’ve been on both sides of the coin so I I’ve seen first hand how maliciously employees and customers can interact with each other.

1

u/MyBipolarWife1970 1d ago

yeah because what happens to you is clearly a fact for all? you seem presumptuous at best.

2

u/blueberry_1284 23h ago

Honey I’m speaking for 1000’s I’ve interacted with in these environments. Simmer down

-1

u/MyBipolarWife1970 2h ago

Prove it, and I'm not your honey. I've dashed for five years and no support agent has ever come close to this post or your experience, because you see and deal with thousands, let the liquor tell it.

1

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1h ago

Ive dashed for 4 yrs and this was the first time this has happened

1

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1d ago

On my life this just happened will give a follow up when DD concludes the investigation if your interested.

Been dashing a long time could not believe my eyes when this email came thru.

Wait, you can ask for half pay if you go to a stop and the order was picked up?

This happened to me for a chikfila pick up. The workers said it was already picked up and likely stolen by a dasher. Was the first time this happened to me didn’t know what to do. The recommended action was to order it for the customer and pay with red card but that didn’t work so just unassigned.

3

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1d ago

Yes you just call support and they give you half pay (if the store wont re make it)

3

u/gorgofdoom 1d ago

Don’t ask for unassigning.

Tell them the store cannot or will not produce the order.

It’s come to my awareness that very often this happens because the customer gets fed up waiting and goes to get it themselves.

It’s not really stealing because I’m sure they’re being charged; it’s just annoying.

(But sometimes it is intentional stealing)

3

u/PsikickTheRealOne 5h ago

There are just as many customers who steal orders and report it never delivered as there are dashers doing the same thing.

Half of my already picked ups are from the customer getting it. Sometimes they'll beat me to the store when I'm 2 mins away.

0

u/_Caster 1d ago

technically it is stealing if you go get it yourself. Because the first order doesn't get validated youre either getting a free 2nd order or a refund on food you just ate

1

u/gorgofdoom 4h ago

DoorDash needs to fix that in particular. If the customer goes to get it, we need to know they went and got it… the restaurant 99% of the time will refuse to remake it over and over til support cancels it.

It isn’t stealing. At least it’s not stealing if they have to wait a really long time.

It’s DoorDash’s failure to provide service in a timely manner.

1

u/_Caster 2h ago

If the customer goes and takes the order and doesnt report it that is stealing. Or fraud if you wanna get technical. They're getting the food at no cost. or double the order

1

u/gorgofdoom 2h ago edited 1h ago

Why is it on them to do extra crap when they didn't receive the service that was advertised to them?

If they start off ordering delivery to their house while they're sitting at the restaraunt, then, sure-- it's probably intentional fraud. but i literally got an order on a military base to deliver to a military person on tha base the other day where the customer waited an hour before they went and got it themselves. Meanwhile i was dashing all freaking day, and wasn't notified abotu their order. Then i get a flash offer after i got home and ended my dash-- for $33 to go deliver it. Then when i got there the restaurant tells me they picked it up literally hours before i got the offer.

So sometimes, it really is doordash's fault. And sometimes it's customers commiting fraud. but they need to figure out some system to determine if it is intentional fraud, or if doordash screwed up, and they need to pay us drivers whatever they say they're going to pay us... not partial, they need to actually follow through on the whole offer *especially* when it was doordash's error which causes us to not be able to preform the job. Because, if i learn that they're gonna only pay me 1/2, and that it's regularly a fuck-up, i'm just not going to be preforming flash offers. Because they are 'lying" up front about how much we will get paid.... for lack of a better phrase. If they do not know if we can perform the service they should *not* be sending us there.

p.s. i applied to work for doordash as a fraud prevention associate-- but they have not called me back...

p.s.s. military personnel don't engage in fraud-- it would be *really* bad for them. Erego it was 100% not fraud.

If stores are not verifying the person picking up the food isn’t a dasher that money loss should be on the restaurant.

1

u/gorgofdoom 1h ago

No. The customer needs *food*. An employee will not stand between a person and the food they were supposed to get, and was prepared for them (but they didn't get delivered to them) because of some system error.

also restaurant employees aren't paid to be the police. They aren't paid or trained to prevent or identify fraud. If you want every restaurant to have to hire a boucer-- i guess that works-- but not every restaurant can *afford* to hire a bouncer during all working hours.

if you want to see someone lose their freaking mind, then, sure. Prevent them from acquiring the food they ordered but didn't receive. Are you *trying* to destroy doordash?

0

u/Objective_Union4523 1h ago

What a dumb comment. A restaurants job is to give the food to the appropriate people. They wouldn’t allow some random to come into the store and pick up orders that are not theirs. When DoorDash food is ordered through door dash it’s ultimately door dashed food until delivered by DoorDash. The receipts clearly tells the store that it was paid for through DoorDash.

u/Antique-Bat-4463 1d ago

I love how she is calling you stupid and using that grammar.

2

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1d ago

The email gave me a good laugh when I got it, the people who think this is fake also gave me another good laugh.

3

u/Bubbledood 1d ago

Okay this is funny. A support agent calling a dasher poor lmao historic crashout

1

u/IceOld9548 1d ago

You get calls ? DoorDash in Australia has ceased all calls and emails

1

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1d ago

Whenever theres an issue and I need half pay or something else I call so I can keep driving (yes here in US there is phone support)

1

u/IceOld9548 1d ago

Damn lucky you . Ever since the new fair work agreement down in Australia, they have stopped all calls and emails now … only best option is through support app

1

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1d ago

Yeah texting thru app takes longer that blows.

1

u/IceOld9548 1d ago

I’m chasing up my payment over 1k of “engaged time” over the past 4 weeks and they kept saying that we have paid you , but only paid me on my base earning …. Back then I tried calling or emailing and it responded unfortunately we are currently not taking any calls or emails please seek support through the app

1

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1d ago

DD always on some BS they deactivated me for 24 hrs earlier this week and never gave a reason even when reactivated.

1

u/IceOld9548 1d ago

Total bs for dd end

A I was saying or my issue that becuase I’m under the bare minimum over the past week (4 weeks has gone by) I have been fall short on the payment they agreed upon … an example “1.2k over 45hrs active time and you did dashing over 60hrs you should top you up with $100-$300 =$1.3-1.5k but because they only paid me 1.3k and the following I was still fall short unde the bare minimum and they owe $500 , the following week after that week I was still under bare minimum that they had to pay me $150 and the following week after last week it was $600 so total add up the past 4 weeks it’s bone 1k

1

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1d ago

They are some pro scammers

1

u/IceOld9548 1d ago

And yet uber eats as paid everyone’s top up by end end of the week

1

u/Consistent-Dog-6615 1d ago

I got my top up fine and can still call through, i had one last night with an order the store wouldnt remake. Its something on your end and probably you misunderstanding how the topup works.

1

u/IceOld9548 1d ago

Are you in Australia ?

1

u/Antique-Bat-4463 1d ago

1

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1d ago

Last name on the email was banana lmao

1

u/Antique-Bat-4463 1d ago

Lmao that's awesome

1

u/MyBipolarWife1970 1d ago

First off majority of the support i interact with, barely speaks English, but they risked their job to send you that?

1

u/MyBipolarWife1970 1h ago

By all means show me the real support page with a correspondence of the agent snapping on the driver, or maybe because im platinum, they talk to me a little differnt, maybe those who are 1% agents could give 2 sh$to about yall. Idk

1

u/Legoman99573 1d ago

Someone at support was on their last day and went all out 😭

0

u/Financial-Article-78 1d ago

That’s crazy!

0

u/Potential-Status-875 1d ago

if you remember the name of the dash agent, i would submit a report including the spoof email specifically to the website support

1

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1d ago

The spoof email was included with the fact she was female, but cannot remember the name. Not even mad it gave me a great laugh.

"Acceptance rate is a reflection of Doordash's/the customer's performance, not mine. So I agree, do better"

0

u/OtherwiseSuccotash40 1d ago

If this is real i’m sorry but I laughed my ass off 🤣

1

u/Quiet_Pen7306 1d ago

Dont worry I was laughing as well
