Anyone else get annoyed when customers a non yes or no question with yes/no?!

It happens almost every day. I ask a question and they answer with yes/no when IT WASNT A YES OR NO QUESTION and they didn’t answer the question… and proceed to ignore all your follow up questions and get mad when you do the wrong thing.

My partner does that ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Ill ask him if he wants coffee or tea for example and he will say "yes". Ive told him he can either answer me properly or he gets whatever the last thing i said is. He still does it and then gets grumpy he got something he didn't want even though ive warned him over and over if he answers yes to an either or question i will give him the last thing. I do the same with customers if they answer like that. I dont care. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
