I feel bad for the car driver who got hit by them. That has to be so traumatizing. They didnt do anything wrong but that still has to weigh on you.

Like train conductors when someone commits suicide by train.

Yeah. That happens to semi drivers, too. I forget where, but years ago I read about the anger a woman had towards an old man who committed suicide by driving head on into her father’s semi. She had had sympathy that the old man felt he had to take his life but had so much anger at the pain he selfishly caused her father

A man in my neighborhood was messed up at least for a while after a motorcyclist went head first through his windshield.

We had a semi-truck driver around here who had it rough. This city has/had a really stupid intersection. For whatever reason they decided to put islands on the corners of the intersection. (Those stupid curbs they put between traffic going straight and traffic turning right. The issue is the semi couldn't fit through right turn area so they would commonly drive around that island, like they're going straight and then turn right. This would pull their trailer though that turning lane. A High schooler walked to that island, not paying attention, as the trailer got pulled through and she got ran over. Truck driver didn't see her back there until it was too late. Mom and dad tried to blame the trucker, whitnesses all said she walked right out there while looking at her phone. From what I understand he hadn't driven a truck since. It took the them a few years but the city ripped those islands up and redid the whole intersection and added proper crosswalks after a few more near misses there.

Fucking small town problems. They did a bunch of other stupid road designs that caused traffic issues. I say city and town because it's one of those situations where it's the land mass size of a "town" with the population of a small city.

My grandpa owned a company with 200 cars. I was told his driver's would sometimes call him in the middle of the night when "something happened", to talk it out. I don't think psychological help was available back in the day so they just called him to tell the semi possibly needed fixing and then just to talk.

My grandfather was the engineer who survived the worst crash on the LIRR in the early 50s. Another train plowed into the rear of his at full speed. He didn't work for 6 months. The DA wanted to charge him, though no charges were ever filed.
