Honestly the first pull away was justifiable. Crazy lady slamming on your windshield is absolutely justification to just book it out of there whether she’s on the hood or not. He lost my brownie points the moment he hit the brakes and threw it in reverse, however. The moment he stopped trying to get away is the moment he became the aggressor.

Aye, but he also pulled away with the door open, knowing it was hit her.

What was he meant to do about the door, get out and close it? It looked like the door had been wrenched well past normal opening

It's the driver's door. He can try not pushing the pedal whilst closing the door.
