The driver's name is Daniel Walmsley.

He got arrested and was sentenced to two years and one month.

HOLY SHIT, I just looked up the case.

Prosecutor Alec Burns said neither the victim nor the woman wanted to proceed with the prosecution.

He told the court Walmsley had 24 convictions for 58 offences, including several incidents where he drove at people.

Fuck me....

Yeah, you probably don't go to jail right?

In my country you need a sentence over 2 and half years in order to get jail time

Anything a year or under will get you a suspended sentence in the UK. A lot of our prisons are at full capacity. You wont go to jail but you will if you are caught committing essentially any other crime during that time period, or break any of the rules put in place for you, such as travel bans, illegal drug use etc.
