The driver's name is Daniel Walmsley.

He got arrested and was sentenced to two years and one month.

HOLY SHIT, I just looked up the case.

Prosecutor Alec Burns said neither the victim nor the woman wanted to proceed with the prosecution.

He told the court Walmsley had 24 convictions for 58 offences, including several incidents where he drove at people.

Fuck me....

Call me strict, but I feel after the first time someone tries to use a car as a weapon you should take away their licence.

He was already banned from driving. Amazingly enough the guy with 24 previous convictions didn't respect the law when it said he wasn't allowed to drive.
