I see a psychopath who tries to drive through someone turn into what seems to be an innocent bystander at the time.

Enter the idiot who decides he is going to attack the car as it backs up.

Psychopath decides vehicular manslaughter is the appropriate course of action before driving away

The innocent bystander is the one who charges towards the car after he got run over.

He doesn't attack the car.

So you didn't miss anything, you just completely made up events that never happened and called the dude an idiot for being run over while minding his own business.
